International Customers: How to Find Art Yourself
Share
My dear would-be international customers,
It is with the deepest regret that I inform you that AnnaPrintsCo does not currently have the capacity to ship beyond the United States. However, if you've found some art on our website that you are interested in purchasing, there is no need to despair. With one exception, all of the art in my shop is in the public domain, and files of the original artwork can be found online and downloaded for free. This means that, for most of the paintings in my selection, there are many other sellers who offer reproductions of the same artwork, including, most likely, some who ship to your location. I am completely transparent about the names and artists of every print that I sell, which means it should be easy to find these alternatives.
If you cannot find a seller who sells a similar reproduction, you also have the option to download the files for the original artwork yourself, then send them to a print shop that takes custom orders. If you pursue this, a few tricks for finding files (as even with the name and artist, it can be a bit tricky): Start with a Google reverse image search. Next, try searching the name or artist on public domain libraries like Wikimedia Commons, Artvee, or Rawpixel. You can also try large museum databases like The Met or Rijksmuseum. If there are multiple available files for an artwork, select the file with the highest resolution. If you do not like the colors in the version you selected, you can always edit them on a free platform like Canva.
Finally, a few tips for printing/choosing which company to order prints from: Unfortunately, I am not familiar with print companies outside the United States, so I do not have any specific suggestions. But in general, I recommend ordering reproductions of paintings on matte or non-glossy paper or canvas for a more authentic "vintage" look. "Giclée" is a bit of a marketing buzzword in some senses, but most of the time, it means the products will be made with high-quality archival materials like the ones we use here at AnnaPrintsCo, so if possible, I recommend searching for a printer who offers giclée or archival prints.
I hope this is helpful! I apologize once more for the disappointment of learning that we do not ship to your location. I would love to expand to ship internationally one day, but I am completely uncertain about the timeline for when this might happen. As such, keep an eye on your inbox, and perhaps one day you will be able to order from us :)
